It started the way most good things do — with a car we couldn't stop thinking about. A few years ago, we listed our first vehicle on Turo, just to see what would happen. What happened was more bookings than we expected, more questions than we anticipated, and a whole lot of car washes.
We quickly realized something: the earning potential was real, but the work was non-trivial. Cleaning between guests, coordinating pickups at the airport, handling maintenance, responding to messages at 2 AM — it wasn't exactly "passive" income.
So we built a system. We figured out how to keep vehicles spotless, guests happy, and owners informed — without anyone losing sleep. One car became two. Two became five. Five became a fleet. And Gearhouse Auto was born.
"We're not a tech company that happens to manage cars. We're car people who figured out the operations."
We treat every vehicle like it's our own. Because before we were managers, we were enthusiasts — and we still are.
Vehicle owners shouldn't have to think about logistics. We built our entire operation around making your life easier.
